Challenging quarter for Target due to boycotts, but also an increasingly stronger Walmart.
As I shared with the Financial Times, the backlash against their DEI pullback is real. But it’s also important to note how Walmart has been closing the space between them by improving their stores, private brands, and marketing.
Target will no doubt benefit from the increased speed and agility their recently created Enterprise Acceleration Office promises, but must continue to elevate its proposition to define “Tarzhay” for the future.
